What happens when you pass away? Do your loved ones have the resources and the information that they need in order to take care of your affairs?
For 2016, I have published a Vital Records Worksheet for you to make a record of all of the major things you need to take inventory of, including your bank account statements, investment accounts, insurance policies, retirement accounts and beneficiary designations.
Do you know where all that stuff located? Do you have copies?
It’s a great way to start off the year in 2016 by writing everything down. It’s not about recording all of the account information but where are these documents? It’s a great worksheet for your executor, your power of attorney to use when something happens to you.
It’s a sort of checklist for legal and financial peace of mind.
