We all know the challenges we have with our national debt now over $19 trillion, or $101 trillion when we add in unfunded liabilities.

It’s quite a high number. What does that mean for you and me?

I recently spoke with Dr. Phil Romero, professor of business administration at the University of Oregon, about Social Security and the future of other entitlement programs like Medicare and prescription drugs.

Romero is the former chief economist for state of California and also the author of two new books expected to be released this year. Coming in July 2016 is Heath Financing Without Deficits, which takes a look at health reform in American politics, and later this year, It’s the Income Stupid, a guide on how to structure investment portfolio.
