Interview: Joan Cronan, UT Women’s Athletic Director Emeritus

Any great leader I’ve known or read about always credits the team and
the people around them with anything great they’ve accomplished. To me, that’s a sign of great leadership.

Joan Cronan, who built the Lady Vols program into one of the most recognizable and respected women’s athletic programs in the country, is a great leader. Her teams won 10 NCAA Titles 46 Top-Five NCAA Finishes, 80 Top-10 NCAA Finishes, 29 SEC Regular-Season Crowns and 24 SEC Tournament Championships. On top of that is the remarkable number of student athletes, who have also earned academic honors.

Joan, who is the recent author of Sport is Life with the Volume Turned Up, joined us on Saturday to talk about her new book, offering us a unique perspective on what it takes to achieve success in both the business world and in everyday life.
