The Federal Reserve System plays a vital role as gatekeeper of the nation’s economy. It includes 12 regional banks that help oversee what’s happening
economically across the country.
One of those is in Atlanta, which has a branch in Nashville. There are seven directors who serve on the board of the Nashville branch, including SmartBank President and CEO Billy Carroll.
Carroll, who has been on the Reserve board since January 2011, came by the NewsTalk 98.7 FM studio recently to discuss the role of the Federal Reserve and offer an economic outlook for 2016. Listen to my interview with him HERE.
